Spreading the Love through Art

Reagan’s artwork.

During the pandemic, Reagan Salinas started watching artists paint on YouTube videos. Mimicking the techniques she learned, she started creating her own digital art on an iPad. Reagan’s mother is Rose Salinas, a Taxi Mom® Franchisee. Rose asked Reagan to paint some pieces for Taxi Mom, and soon Reagan had also created a picture for the Taxi Mom Families nonprofit. Reagan is a seventh grader at the International Leadership charter school in Garland.

“I like to know that my art is being used for Taxi Mom Families,” Reagan says. “I like that Taxi Mom Families is giving something to people who can’t afford it for themselves.”

Reagan herself was a “Taxi Mom Baby.” When she was still an infant, her mother would strap her into a car seat and take her along as Rose drove her student routes each day. “My mom told me that the kids riding with her would teach me things and play with me,” she remembers.

And what is in store for Reagan in the future? “I want to study art, and go to art school,” she told us. With her talent, that is a real possibility.

This year, Taxi Mom Families wants to spread the love to other families in our communities that need support for student transportation. But to do that, we need your support. Please consider donating to our cause.

Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe.
